026 – "Het Concertgebouw" – The Concert Hall – AD1888 –
Designed by A. L. Gendt (who also worked with J. P.  Cuypers on the design of "Het Centraalstation" and with J. B. Springer on the "Stadsschouwburg") , the brick and sandstone building executed in neo-classic, renaissance style has a main hall that is world famous for its accoustics, can seat 2,000, and acommodate 120 musicians and a choir of 500.  Here are some views of the front and of the other side of the building.  For an interior view, click here.
