(Put phrases in quotation marks) Quick access to medical information on the Internet. Note: this is only a search engine... use with due caution and only after you have failed to find the information you seek elsewhere. 04 Health Science Guide - Martindale's – Offers sections on pharmacy, nursing, dental, veterinary, nutrition, public health, and a Virtual Medical Center, with links to biology and anatomy sites, and more. 05 InteliHealth – Searchable health information database from Johns Hopkins University. 06 Internet Mental Health – Site offers hundreds of entries on mental disorders, medications, and other topics. Menus include descriptions, treatments, research, magazine articles, web links, etc. 07 Medicare Information – US Handbook, Medigap policies, and Medicare FAQ. 08 MEDLINE:PubMed and Internet Grateful Med – Site offers free access to "National Library of Medicine's" and an enormous database of more than 8,800,000 references to health related articles! 09 National Health Information Center – Clearinghouse and health information referral service that steers you to 1,100 organizations which have toll-free numbers, and information on diseases, and other health care related issues. 10 New England Journal of Medicine Online – Complete text of many features of the printed journal.
